The first Inhaus Flooring product was introduced in North America in 2001. The company has been able to expand since then, and they are now proud to say that Inhaus floors are available in every single state of the USA. Despite the fact that most of their manufacturing takes place in Germany, most of their product design and development is carried out in the North American region.

The Standards of Inhaus Flooring
Manufacturing Excellence
Their state-of-the-art vertically integrated factory is located in the heart of sustainably harvested forests and is the world's largest laminate factory. By doing so, they have complete control over the quality of the raw materials that are used in manufacturing their products, which is translated into the highest quality finished products.
Social Responsibility
At Inhaus Flooring, they strive to create a better living environment, both inside and outside the home. An important aspect of their daily operations is the protection of the environment and its future. Because of this, all of their products are constructed using environmentally friendly materials. A laminate floor manufactured by their company is made from wood harvested from sustainable European forests located near their factory. They are PEFC (Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification) or FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified for all of their products. Ceramin-based products from Inhaus Floors are 100% recyclable, and 25% of the materials in their composition come from recycled sources.
Indoor Air Quality
They are committed to producing floors that can be trusted, that promote a healthy indoor environment, and that are safe. Inhaus Flooring laminate flooring products are made in accordance with the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), meet Title VI compliance, and are certified by a certification program called GreenGuard Gold. They have obtained Blue Angel certification for all of their Ceramin-based products. The Sono Eclipse and Elandura product lines are designed to emit ultra-low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and to contain no formaldehyde, plasticizers, or phthalates - further demonstrating their commitment to creating healthy products for the home.
The Inhaus Flooring products are certified GreenGuard Gold and Blue Angel by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for Airborne Toxic Control Measures (ATCM) Phase II.
Recycling
It has been the goal of Inhaus Flooring to reduce its environmental impact through innovative methods. As part of their laminate manufacturing process, the facility is powered by emission-controlled incineration of wood residues created during the production process. During the production of SONO planks, all manufacturing waste is recycled back into the product. At their facility, the residual waste is brought in from other manufacturers as fuel. It is possible for SONO to accomplish this because its raw materials are bonded with heat instead of chemicals or additives, as opposed to chemical processes. In addition, they are proud to provide their customers with some of the most realistic reproductions of exotic wood floors, in the hope that the availability of realistic, environmentally friendly alternatives will reduce the harvesting of rare and exotic trees.
Approach To Sustainability
Sono Eclipse and Elandura are made with a blend of recycled materials, raw materials, and mineral powder at the Ceramin facility. Ceramin technology produces 100% recyclable products that are made from post-consumer waste.
